Disha Performing Arts Dance, established in 2012, is dedicated to celebrating and preserving Circassian heritage through the art forms of dance, music, and storytelling. Based in California, our mission is to engage the community—particularly young performers — in learning, practicing, and sharing the rich traditions of Circassian culture with the world.

The word ‘Disha’ translates to “gold” in the native Circassian language, Adyghe. This name reflects both the cultural significance of our heritage and our home in California, the Golden State. Just as gold symbolizes value, endurance, and beauty, Disha Performing Arts strives to uphold the enduring spirit of Circassian traditions while fostering a deep appreciation for the beauty and richness of cultural identity.
